Visual Techno. Electronic Meditation. Crowd Synergy. Passionate about techno music as a shamanistic medium, TUNNEL is an electronic music group focused solely on evoking an inward journey through inspired, sonically complex electronic music. Vivid, poly-rhythmic techno becomes the medium through which TUNNEL unfold their vision of self, unity, and possibility. The ENTER ep marks their debut.
With their A-side, Moment of Introspection and Through the Noise Field, TUNNEL creates two peak hour Berghain-inspired techno tracks built around layered synths, tense builds, and driving rhythms. With thoughtful breaks and sonic twists, they combine a sensitivity to the needs of the DJ to inspire a moment. The intensity of the tracks derives from TUNNEL's signature sound, sustained atmospheric builds derived from singing bowls and other instruments used in world meditation practice. The result is a hard-edged drive towards a mind-altering dancefloor experience.
The B-side includes two remixes of Through the Noise Field by veteran producers Steve Stoll (Proper NYC) and Chance McDermott. Steve Stoll's remix hooks the listener with its driving, thick percussion and melodic loop from the original. It sits perfectly in a peak-hour techno set. Chance McDermott's message to the masses, DANCE!. His playful, club-friendly workout inspires the wall-flowers to get on the floor with catchy electro-inspired melodic hooks and Detroit-focused synth bass.
With their debut release, TUNNEL enters the world of dance music inspired by, and inspiring, the next chapter of techno music.
